The Noodle House is finished (for now)!

In May we finished the exterior grading and planted grass plus added a small walkway to the front porch. We tackled the neglected downstairs by installing the bamboo flooring we had imported with a  tile surround wrapping it around the stairs to the Dutch doors. Wow, what a difference to have a finished living room! The laundry/bathroom finally got a toilet and a shower installed so the house has two bathrooms, one of each floor. Monique bought some used furniture so we had places to sit and enjoy the finished rooms along with beds for the other two bedrooms. Its nice to have a furnished three bedroom house now perfect for guests.

Update on the Noodle House

This is where we started when we came back in January. The posts and floor framing was completed.

Then we rebuilt the old balcony roof and added new posts, metal roofing and a railing.

Painting!

The walaba decking is done and it's so nice to go out onto the balcony now.

Cranberries!

Spent a long 10 hour day with Felix and Kathy on Saturday. First we set up the stand at the Proctor Farmers Market then Felix and I drove to his farm to "Get the Harvest in" as there is a threat of a cold frost this week.

This is the small field, about an acre of cranberries and you can see the part that has been harvested.
Close up of the vines.

Here is Nate running the picker as it combs and trims the vines for the cranberries.

Here is the old time machine to clean and sort the cranberries
